  Coffee Mornings in St Giles' Church. Everyone is invited for coffee in the Tower Room (or outside in the  Churchyard, if the weather is good). There is no charge - this is a social get-together, not a fundraiser.

Yoga Classes in the Village Hall, suitable for all ages and abilities. Cost is £6.50 per class - more details here.

Dance & Keep Fit Classes in the Village Hall, specifically tailored for individual needs... Cost is £40 per term (for a 10-week term) or £5 per week on the door. More details here.

'Pub Night at The Open Arms' - in the Village Hall. Come along at 7.30pm and enjoy another informal social evening just chatting or playing this week's new game - 'kurling' (just like curling but without the ice, and the brooms). Bring your own drinks, glasses and nibbles.

Saturday 19 January

Cards & Curry - in the Village Hall. Doors open 7.00pm; curry served from 7.30pm; card games after the food. Everybody welcome – bring your own drinks, glasses and snacks. Tickets £8/person from Philippa Mills (01787 460 578). More information here.

Monday 21 January

The Maplesteads' WEA Spring 2019 Course - in the Village Hall. Potential participants are invited to attended a course overview of Art Inspired by East Anglia and meet the tutor Susan Pownall. This first free introductory session commences at 6.30pm, with complimentary wine and refreshments.
