  Coffee Mornings in St Giles' Church. Everyone is invited for coffee in the Tower Room (or outside in the  Churchyard, if the weather is good). There is no charge - this is a social get-together, not a fundraiser.

Yoga Classes in the Village Hall, suitable for all ages and abilities. Cost is £6.50 per class - more details here.

Dance & Keep Fit Classes in the Village Hall, specifically tailored for individual needs... Cost is £40 per term (for a 10-week term) or £5 per week on the door. More details here.

Maplesteads' WEA Autumn Course - in the Village Hall. A 7-week course, with popular tutor Simon Doneylooking at the English Civil Wars of 1642-49 and how the struggle between the Roundheads and the Cavaliers had a profound effect on English history. World Polio Day Tea Party - at Mossings, from 3.00pm. Part of a world-wide Rotary Club campaign to help raise funds to eradicate polio. More details here.

Sunday 28 October

Pets Service - in St Giles' Church. This is an informal service for pets of all shapes and sizes, from guinea pigs to small ponies. All owners welcome too! Starts at 11.00am.

Saturday 10 November

Maplesteads’ WW1 Centenary Celebrationin the Village Hall. A commemoration of the 100-year anniversary of the end of World War 1, with a hog-roast meal and an Old Time Music Hall evening of locally-originated entertainment. Doors open at 7.00pm for this charity event, with proceeds going to the Royal British Legion. Tickets will be available only from the Box Office (01787 461 421 between 10.00am & noon) from 8th October. More details here.

Christmas Fair - in the Village Hall. Open from10.30am to 1.00pm. Lots of stalls, with Bric-a-Brac, Christmas Cards, Decorations, Bags and Scarves, Jewellery and much much more. There'll be a raffle and coffee, mince pies and cakes for refreshment... More information here.
