Essex County Council, as part of its commitment to deliver the best quality of life in Britain, has pledged to offer Telecare equipment and support to all Essex residents over the age of 80 - and other vulnerable groups - to enable them to live safely and independently in their own homes.

  • Telecare brings health and social care directly to users, generally in their homes, supported by information and communication technology
  • It covers social alarms, lifestyle monitoring and Telehealth (remote monitoring of vital signs for diagnosis, assessment and prevention)
  • It also covers a wide range of equipment (detectors, alarms, pendants etc) and services (monitoring, call centres and response)

You can contact the Telecare Team directly on 0845 603 7630 to arrange an assessment for you, a family member or friend.
