Code of Conduct
The Statutory Code of Conduct was withdrawn as from 30 June 2012, in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
From the 1st July 2012 all Parish Councils have been required to adopt their own local Code of Conduct, which is consistent with the 7 Nolan Principles of Public Life.
Great Maplestead Parish Council has adopted a version of the Braintree District Council Code of Conduct, which may be read or downloaded here.
REGISTER OF INTERESTS
In accordance with the Code of Conduct all Councillors are required to complete a Register of Interests. This is available to view on Braintree District Council’s website and can be viewed here.
If you wish to view the Register of Interests in person, they are available for public inspection at the office of the Monitoring Officer at Braintree District Council, Causeway House, Bocking End, Braintree, CM7 9HB during normal office hours.

These are the written rules of the Council - they are used to confirm the Council’s internal organisational, administrative and procurement procedures and procedural matters for meetings. Great Maplestead Parish Council's Standing Orders may be viewed or downloaded here.
These govern the conduct of financial management by the Council and may only be amended or varied by resolution of the Council. Financial Regulations are one of the Council’s three governing policy documents, providing procedural guidance for members and officers and they must be observed in conjunction with the Council’s Standing Orders.
